Dhoop Chaoon Presents “Bhikaji Cama” at IACA’s Festival of India 2026
The Dhoop Chaoon Hindi Theater Group was honored with an opportunity to showcase its theatrical presentation “Bhikaji Cama” at the India-American Cultural Association (IACA) Festival of India 2026 in Atlanta on August 15. The annual festival was held at the Gas South Convention Center as part of IACA’s Independence Day celebrations.
For Dhoop Chaoon, the opportunity provided a platform to present a lesser-known chapter of India’s freedom struggle to the community. The group chose to highlight Bhikaji Cama, a pioneering freedom fighter who played an important role in India’s independence movement and famously raised the Indian flag on foreign soil while advocating for India’s freedom.
Dhoop Chaoon expressed its gratitude to Rakshak Sen Ji and all the members of IACA for giving the group the opportunity to showcase the presentation.
The performance featured Amit Prasad, Navneet Kumar, Rajshree Ghatani, Shweta Saxena and Anil Bhagat.
Dhoop Chaoon, an Atlanta-based Hindi theater group, has been presenting stories and productions that help keep Hindi language and culture alive while entertaining audiences. The group has also participated in theater festivals and cultural programs across the Atlanta community and beyond
