The Telugu Cultural Association (TCA) marked its 50th anniversary with a memorable weekend of celebrations, bringing together members of the Indo-American community for a landmark milestone. The festivities featured a gala banquet followed by a full day of cultural programming showcasing outstanding local and international talent. The anniversary celebrations drew an impressive turnout, with approximately 600 guests attending the banquet and more than 2,000 people participating in the larger celebration. The strong sense of community and belonging among TCA members was evident throughout the event. Members of the Indo-American diaspora expressed pride in calling Texas home and in contributing to the state’s social, cultural and economic life. The milestone celebrations also received recognition from local leaders, including Fort Bend County Judge Daniel Wong and Sugar Land Mayor Carol McCutcheon, who attended the event and presented proclamations commemorating TCA’s 50 years of community service and achievement. For TCA members, the anniversary was more than a celebration of the organization’s history—it was a tribute to a patriotic, hardworking, dedicated and highly productive Indo-American community that has made Texas its home. The occasion offered a fitting reflection on five decades of community, culture and service, while looking ahead to the future with pride and gratitude.
