Community Bids Farewell to Consul General Ramesh Babu Lakshmanan

The Indian-American community gathered at Hira Banquet Hall on Friday, August 14, to bid a warm farewell to outgoing Consul General of India (Southeast), Shri Ramesh Babu Lakshmanan, and his wife, Renuga Devi.
The event brought together community leaders, representatives of Indian organizations, prominent Indian Americans, and community volunteers from across the region.
Organized by Himanshu Karnwal and team, Subash Razdan, Raj Razdan, Rajeev Menon, Vasu Patel and others, the evening featured tributes and personal memories of the Consul General.
Several speakers praised Shri Lakshmanan for his warm engagement with the community during his tenure.
Georgia State Senator Shawn Still also attended and spoke warmly about his relationship with the outgoing Consul General.
Community organizations felicitated the couple and joined them for photographs and farewell greetings.
Renuga Devi’s homemade food also received special mention from several speakers, adding a personal touch to the evening.
The gathering concluded on a heartfelt note, with community members expressing gratitude and wishing Shri Lakshmanan and Renuga Devi success in their next chapter.
