The Atlanta FOBANA (Federation of Bangladeshi Associations in North America) team hosted a warm welcome reception for the Convener and organizing team of the 40th FOBANA Convention during a successful Meet & Greet and fundraising event held at Deshi Street Restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia, on Sunday, July 12, 2026. The gathering brought together community leaders, supporters, and well-wishers for an evening of networking, discussions, and hospitality. The event featured productive meetings, excellent food, and enthusiastic participation from the local Bangladeshi-American community. A significant amount was raised through sponsorship contributions from Atlanta-based supporters, while several additional sponsors pledged their commitment to various convention sponsorship packages. Participants expressed their best wishes and pledged their continued support for the success of the 40th FOBANA Convention, scheduled to be held on September 4–6, 2026, in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California. Organizers expressed confidence that the convention will bring together the Bangladeshi diaspora from across North America for a memorable celebration of culture, community, and collaboration.
