Arizona Youth Join National Indian American Delegation at U.S.-India Advocacy Day in Washington, DC
Arizona was proudly represented as youth joined a 125-member Indian American delegation from 25 states for Advocacy Day, organized by the Foundation for India and Indian Diaspora Studies (FIIDS), followed by the U.S.-India Partnership Summit on Capitol Hill. Delegates met with more than 100 Members of Congress, congressional staff, and elected officials to discuss strengthening U.S.-India relations. A highlight of the event was the active participation of high school students, showcasing the next generation of Indian American leadership. The delegation also met with India's Ambassador to the U.S., Vinay Kwatra, at the Embassy of India. Key discussions focused on the contributions of Indian Americans, combating bias, immigration reforms, semiconductor and critical minerals partnerships, and advancing trade, innovation, and Indo-Pacific cooperation.
