Governor Kemp Appoints Narender G Reddy to New GTEA Board
Governor Brian Kemp has appointed a longtime transportation board member to serve on the newly created Georgia Transportation Efficiency Authority (GTEA), a move aimed at strengthening and streamlining transportation governance across the state. GTEA was established through legislation passed by the Georgia General Assembly in April 2026.

The authority is designed to combine institutional knowledge, operational expertise, longstanding partnerships, and a business-oriented approach to government while consolidating key transportation functions previously managed by the Atlanta-Region Transit Link Authority and the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority. The appointee brings more than two decades of experience in transportation governance, having served for 22 years on the GRTA board under Governors Sonny Perdue, Nathan Deal, and Brian Kemp. In a statement, the newly appointed board member expressed gratitude to Governor Kemp for the opportunity and pledged to work with fellow board members to advance transportation efficiency, mobility, and economic growth throughout Georgia. State officials say the creation of GTEA marks a significant step toward improving coordination and delivery of transportation initiatives across the Atlanta region and the broader state.
