Huge Turnout for the 49th Sai Health Fair

With the divine blessings of Sri Balaji and Sri Ramalingeswara Swami the Hindu Temple of Atlanta facilitated and hosted the 49th Sai Health Fair at the Hindu Temple, Riverdale, Georgia, on Saturday, April 18 , and 25, 2025, respectively. Health fairs like these are organized to promote the enduring philosophies of Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.-nonviolence, community service and social justice. This event was a true celebration of service, wellness and community spirit-and was an overwhelming success.

Free consultancy was provided by 22 committed, dedicated, and widely respected, experienced physicians from 13 specialties, GAPI nurses, assisted by over 20 volunteers. 
Over 300 people registered online for comprehensive blood tests at a nominal fee of $15, on Saturday April 18, which were provided by Health Soft USA’s Kintu Shah, and 8 skilled phlebotomists.
Helpful consultations were provided by specialists in cardiology; endocrinology; pediatrics;dentistry; dermatology; gastroenterology; ob/gyn; orthopedics;physical therapy; ophthalmology;audiology; and bone-density.
CPR demonstration and stroke prevention advice were given by Dr.Pradip Kamat
Certified nutritionist, Health & Wellness Coach, Rajitha Bommakanti, RN, provided helpful advice promoting healthy lifestyles. Homeopathy consultation and bone marrow drive were also conducted.
Ayurvedic Wellness Medicine: Dr. Rupali Bistdar, MD
Holistic Wellness and Yoga sessions were conducted by Swati Kumari ji.
Ms. Beena Patel for providing valuable information and guidance on Medicare.





Atlanta Cardiologist Dr. Lalitha Medepalli commented “As Immediate Past President of the Georgia Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (GAPI), I am grateful to have been part of the SAI Health Fair—a truly impactful community initiative led by Dr. Sujatha Reddy. It was inspiring to witness young scholars and medical students actively contributing while learning alongside dedicated physicians, reflecting the strong spirit of mentorship and service within our community. A notable highlight of this health fair was the inclusion of Lipoprotein(a) [Lp(a)] testing, aligned with the latest dyslipidemia guidelines, to enhance cardiovascular risk assessment and preventive care. I also extend my sincere appreciation to the HTA leadership for their support in making this event both impactful and successful” .
Mini Nair ji who attended the Sai Health Fair commented ,” Hats off to Dr. Sujatha Reddy ji for her unwavering dedication to the community. Under her inspiring leadership, more than 20 doctors came together for the 49th SAI Health Fair at the Hindu Temple of Atlanta, a meaningful tribute to Mahatma Gandhi’s legacy.

The two-day event offered comprehensive blood tests, multi-specialty doctor consultations, and valuable free screenings including EKG, bone density, CPR awareness, and more, truly reflecting a strong commitment to preventive healthcare and community well-being.At the Consulate General of India Atlanta ’s segment, the Teacher of Indian Culture, ICCR and Yoga Instructor Swati Kumari ji conducted an engaging and informative yoga session that saw enthusiastic participation. Her guidance on holistic wellness added a beautiful dimension to the event, making the health fair not just about treatment, but about overall mindful living.Overall, the health fair stood as a wonderful example of community collaboration, bringing together medical professionals, volunteers, and organizations to promote preventive healthcare and holistic well-being.”
Shri Shanmugam for generously offering donuts and orange juice which were greatly appreciated by volunteers and attendees alike. HTA Kitchen Chair, Shri Kishore Puttagunta, for providing delicious breakfast and lunch for all participants, ensuring everyone was well taken care of.






HTA President Ravi Kari commented “ A sincere thanks to every participating doctor, nurses nutritionist, yoga instructor,alternative medicine specialist, and bone marrow awareness advocate whose efforts made the event impactful, memorable and life-enhancing.We are grateful to our 20 dedicated volunteers who supported on both days of the Health Fair with great courtesy and cheerfulness.
Special appreciation: Dr. Sujatha Reddy Garu: She has not only initiated the first Sai Health Fair but has also become the driving force behind all 49 Sai Health Fairs, and one who is already planning next one in October 2026.
