Actor Anupam Kher Receives Commendation from Georgia Governor Brian Kemp at State Capitol
ATLANTA, Ga. — Indian actor Anupan Kher was presented with a commendation from the State of Georgia by Governor Brian P. Kemp during a ceremony at the Georgia State Capitol. First Lady Marty Kemp was also present for the occasion.
The commendation recognizes the actor's contributions to cinema, education, and the arts, as well as efforts highlighting the cultural ties between India and the United States.
The actor received the honor in the presence of the Consul General and Deputy Consul General of India in Atlanta, tour promoters and members of the Indian-American community.
According to the actor, the commendation marked the third honor received in the United States during the ongoing tour over the past 20 days.
